Morning in the Highwoods

I grew up on a Montana cattle ranch and I always thought seeing the breath of the animals rise as the sun peaked over the tree tops was beautiful. That was my inspiration for ‘Morning In the Highwoods’. It was also interesting to portray a cold feeling that also had a hint of warmth, as well. The viewer can feel the crisp air, yet still delight in the sunshine on their face and it’s impending warmth.
