Seeking Solace

This painting was inspired by the state of turmoil and divisiveness in our world. I felt like I needed to find solace so I painted what, in my minds eye, would be the perfect place to ‘seek solace’. I specifically chose not to do this as a self portrait, but instead painted a more universal woman and fur companion who would resonate with just about any body.
