The Stuff Men are Made Of

I did a number of paintings for the John Wayne Birthplace Museum’s annual fundraiser. This was part of that series. I wanted to portray the ‘tough guy’ persona, but not miss the twinkle in Duke’s eye and basic kindness in his heart.
