The Tall & Short of It

For me, this is a very special painting. The horse represents my first horse, Firefly… a remarkable old lady who taught a young child (me) how much love can exist between a little girl and a horse. The dog was my first dachshund, Dexter… my little buddy and favorite bed fellow for 14 years. They were each from different times in my life and are now gone. However, I have to imagine they might be friends in that magical place where all our beloved animal friends go after their earthly life has come to an end.
