Campfire Companions

Often I need to paint something calming when life is stressful. This painting is my way of dealing with the current state of anger and hostility in our country. The person is meant to be a woman, but I purposely painted her to be a bit gender neutral so everyone can identify with the moment. There’s not much that a beautiful place, warm campfire and animal companion can’t make better!
