Reflections

‘Reflections’ is my idea of how a beautiful bay horse would enjoy a lazy summer day. I can feel a slight breeze stir and hear insects buzzing about in the weeds as she munches her way to the waters edge for a drink of cool water. Due to the elongated shape of the canvas, I found it an interesting challenge to create the reflection of the mare in a way that complimented the over-all composition without drawing attention away from the her. “Reflections” is a very warm peaceful painting.
